Verbos Harmonic Oscillator is a super warm sounding analog oscillator for additive synthesis and more!
It starts with a discrete triangle core oscillator with the standard triangle square and saw outputs and has a great warm 70s west coast sound. It's ,main feature is it's additive output, which outputs harmonics 1-8, with their levels controlled by individual sliders with CV control and with the special harmonic scan and spectral tilt controls.
Harmonic scan allows you to pick a band that has it's level increased to 100% (combined with the slider) and a width control allowing you to gradually bring up adjacent harmonics, much like a buchla-styled variable width bandpass filter only you are controlling the individual harmonics that make up the sound. There is also spectral tilt controls that bring up the lowest or highest harmonics. These controls are great for morphing through all sorts of additive sounds.
Per Verbos:
"For the first time in Eurorack, this oscillator module provides outputs for the first 8 harmonics as sine waves. Also included are triangle, saw, square waves. A voltage controlled mixer with various methods of address allows the user to scan, tilt and mix the harmonics from both panel and external voltage control.
It is built on a discrete, all analog triangle core with an old school discrete transistor exponential converter. It has inputs for linear and exponential FM, the exponential with a reversing attenuator. Of course there's a 1 volt/octave trimmed CV input as well."
