Javelin is an update on the classic WMD Multimode Envelope (which was among the snappiest ADSRs in eurorack!)
Javelin is the perfect ADSR, with integrated VCA, Linear or Exponential Curves, CV inputs, Looping, choke input that kills the envelope and a unique accent input! Also has level range switch for getting the perfect CV level, and envelope time range switch that makes it extremely short and snappy on the shortest settings and up to 88 minutes long at the very longest setting! (with the knobs up and offsets fed to the CV inputs.)
The Accent behavior is incredibly unique. Multiple consecutive gates while the Accent input is high cause the envelope to climb a bit higher with each gate, causing whatever you are controlling to accent a bit harder on each next gate. When controlling a filter, this creates a sound that can be personified with breathing, laughing, screaming, or crying, and is the key to the perfect, funky, acid style bass line. This behavior can also be disabled if you prefer a static Accent level.
As if that's not enough, the Accent input is actually a CV input which lets you use CV to effect the amount of accent with intention. 3 different accent ranges let you choose the maximum amount that the envelope will reach.
